The Great Byamee by Evelyn Kunda
Some tribes hold that Byamee came up from his home at the bottom of the sea; others claim that he descended from his dreamland in the Milky Way. But they are all agreed that he was all-knowing and came down to earth (Tya) as a messenger of the All Father. It was he who brought the people the sacred bullroarer (originally used for circumcision) and he gave the people the Law. He taught them what was clean food and what was forbidden, the proper times for festivals and how to live in peace with nature and each other. The Great Byamee was very saddened by the fact that nobody recognized him when he arrived, but he was greatly missed after he had gone.
